DESCRIPTION:The Port Orange South Daytona Chamber of Commerce\, in partnership with the Volusia County Division of Corrections\, will host the Second Chance Initiative Job Fair on Wednesday\, August 21\, 2024\, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Volusia County Branch Jail - 1300 Red John Dr.\, Daytona Beach\, FL 32124.\n\n\n\nThis event\, inspired by Matt Reinhart\, District 2 County Council Member\, is dedicated to giving individuals a fresh start by facilitating their reintegration into the workforce following incarceration.\n\n\n\nThe job fair is designed specifically to assist individuals who are currently incarcerated in overcoming the challenges of finding employment a task that can be particularly daunting without adequate support.\n\n\n\nWe encourage local employers to participate in this important event. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from various organizations\, providing a valuable face-to-face interaction that enhances the job search process.\n\n\n\nEmployers interested in participating are encouraged to register by August 19th via the REGISTER button above.
