Earth Day Celebration

Location: City Hall Plaza |
Starts: 3:00 pm Ends: 6:00 pm |
Join us April 30th at 3:00 pm, as we celebrate the planet we all call home! The Parks and Recreation Department will host the festivities at City Hall Plaza, including the annual Arbor Day Ceremony, a tree planting, the community garden revitalization, children's activities and more! Free admission! Bike to City Center for giveaways and a bike safety talk with the Port Orange Police Department. Bring a plastic bottle to be recycled and exchanged for a reusable one, courtesy of Green Volusia. Kids young and old can learn more about our local plant and animal life by participating in the City Center Scavenger Hunt. Then little ones can build their own bird house in a kids workshop hosted by the Home Depot. Bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Port Orange Victim Advocates food pantry! For more information or to get involved, contact Teresa Leonard, Special Events Coordinator, at 386-506-5936. |
